OUGD402 Robot Food - Branding Strategy & Brand Packaging Design Agency

After doing some research I came across Robot Food a branding strategy and brand packaging design agency in leeds. As this is something I am interested in possibly pursuing as a career I decided to look into them further and maybe ask for some work experience there in the future.

Simon Forster is the founder and creative director of the company. He set it up with his friend Mike in 2009 from his dining room table. Because they didn't have any clients or a starting budget  they began designing packaging for a number of made up things, from spray vinegar to wines. They then got them featured anywhere they could such as The Dieline and Lovely Package. This is something that is really inspiring to me but also shows the importance of self promotion and getting your work out there into the big wide world.
They also didn't want to become a massive agency, which allows them to choose their own clients that have similar values to them creating a mutual trust.

It is a design studio of 12 people.

I love the boldness of colour they like to incorporate into their work as well as the playfulness of the type. Their designs are bold and appropriate for their clientele. I am considering maybe next year to ask about work experience or even just some creative advice.
