During the design skills module we did a brief on typeface design. I found this really challenging and I really struggled to come up with ideas for my given word of 'abundant'. I produced a typeface of swash characters in relation to the word. In the end I was really unhappy with the work that I produced. As well as the swirls not being elaborate enough to reflect the word it was also produced quite poorly. This was due to the fact I had only just been introduced to illustrator and I feel this is very obvious within the design. This to me showed that I needed to work harder at getting my skills on illustrator to a higher standard as I don't want it to reflect poorly within my work.
